About Us
LAA was created by Jodie Heuring and Nancy Birkeland in April 1994. At that time, Jodie had more than 16 years of law office experience and Nancy had more than 15 years of law office experience. LAA was formed after Jodie and Nancy found a need in the legal community for qualified, knowledgeable legal assistants to fill in during vacations, temporary staff reductions, or for special projects.
The owners and operators of LAA are very self-motivated individuals, who bring a wide variety of skills and experience in administrative support. They are committed to total quality management and bring their high standards to work for their customers. One of the many available benefits is LAA’s staff has 89+ years of administrative and legal support experience.
LAA is the proud recipient of the 1997 Willmar Area Business & Professional Women (B.P.W.) Employer of the Year award for 25 employees or less and the 1997-98 Minnesota B.P.W. Employer of the Year for creative initiatives in support and advancement of women employees for a business with 25 employees or less.
